Weekly Charters:

July 10, 2023 to July 16, 2023

Total of 4 fishing charters this week, and the heat is still here and it seems like it is here to stay. The Lady Fish have been biting which is a good thing and I hope they stick around cuz Lady Fish is the best bait and fresh bait is the best bait.

The first fishing charter of the week was with a father and son. Both Brian and Carson were able to reel in some fish, we started the day off by catch some small Red Drum and Snook. The best part of the day however was at the last spot of the day when Carson reeled in a big beautiful Snook that was 33 inches on the money and if the season was open would have fed the family for a week. He was a fat Snook.

The second fishing charter of the week was with a father and daughter. We found the lady fish and headed of to my fishing spots. We lost two big Snook, one spit the hook and another ran off into the mangroves and cut us off. We did however catch a nice in slot Red Drum at our last spot of the day.

The third fishing charter was for sure the hottest one of the week and even the fish knew it. The water reached 91 degrees, strait bath water. We started off pretty good and caught some Lady Fish, had to hunt for them a little bit but we got them in the end. Than the fish really made me work to find them. The bite was tough today for sure, but yet again at our very last spot Matt and Wyatt doubled up on two tournament Red Drums. These fish were huge. Matt’s was 30 1/2 inch and Wyatt’s was whopping 33 1/4 inch Red Drum. The fishing charter was a success.

The fourth and final fishing charter of the week was with three midwest boys and we had a great time. The lady fish were biting and we even reeled in small Spotted Sea Trout. The only bad thing is that it was another hot day and the catfish were out in full force. We caught catfish at every spot and as soon as I catch a cat fish, I move. However yet again at our last spot of the day we reeled in a 32 inch Red Drum, another tournament Red. Even Austin, who caught it said “Man that was a workout” they are great fighting fish and so much fun to catch.

The theme of this week, was that the final spot seems to pay off. Let’s just knock on wood and hope Mother Nature keeps that up for One More Charters for the weeks to come.
