Weekly Charters:
July 17, 2023 to July 23,2023
Total of three fishing charters were ran this week. There were some fantastic fish caught and at the end of the week the Lady Fish bite was spectacular. Lady fish are the bait fish that we use aboard One More Charters. They are extremely oily fish and very smelly, which make them the best cut bait for catching those big Reds, Snook, and Trout. Along with being the best bait in my opinion, they are also very fun to catch. When kids are on board for the charter they love to catch them sometimes more than the big fish. When the lady fish are around it is always a good way to start the fishing charter.
On One More Charters first fishing expedition of the week, we started it off with a slam, literally. We caught the intercostal slam, the intercostal slam is where you catch a Red, Snook, and Trout. They day was extremely hot, and it took a little bit for the fish to bite, but we eventually got on them. The Red fish we caught was a tournament wining red measuring in at 32 1/2 inches. We followed that up with a 26inch Snook and a 16inch Trout.
The second fishing charter of the week was a blast. One More Charters took out some good ole boys from West Virginia, one of whom Jordan was a birthday boy. We got on the lady fish right off the bat and then headed off to hunt down the big boys. Right before we headed off to find the targeted species. We jigged in a treat, which was a nice 20inch Gag Grouper. Always fun to catch something we are not targeting on One More Charters We found some great Reds, stared off by reeling in a 27 and 1/4 inch red and finished off the day with a monster tournament Red measuring in at 31inch.
The third and final fishing charter was just as fun as the others. I brought out there gentlemen from right here in my backyard, from Tampa. The Lady Fish bite was awesome, we piled them into the boat. At our first spot the boys Dean and little brother Armine reeled in back to back Reds both measuring in at 22inches on the money. We ended our day with the boys dad reeling in a 26 and 1/2 inch Snook, which was a great way to end the day.
Its a LIVIN KIND OF LIFESTYLE out here on One More Charters and hopefully the bite will stick around into next week.
